300 bags of rice donated for Elementary School Student Council service project

In October, the Elementary School Student Council once again headed up a Rice Drive to support World Food Week in Japan. With participation from students of all ages and the support of the student councils in the High School and Middle School, a rice wall was built in the ES lobby with over 300 bags of Japanese rice being donated. This sizeable wall of rice was collected by Second Harvest Japan for distribution to those in need, and student council members assisted in the transporting and loading of the rice onto the Second Harvest truck. ES Student Council and Second Harvest Japan would like to thank everyone who participated in this worthy cause! (Karolee Kent, ES Student Council Advisor)
