The Elementary School Strings and Handbells Performance

Karolee Kent (elementary school music teacher) writes on a recent elementary school strings and handbell performance in the ASIJ Theater.

On May 24 the elementary school strings performance groups, led by Tracey Su (middle/high school strings teacher), and the 5th Grade Handbell Choir, led by Karolee Kent, put on two celebration concerts in the ASIJ Theater. In total, 18 Beginning Strings and Orchestra students as well as 15 Handbell Choir students performed for an audience of elementary schoolers, parents and special guests.

These students worked diligently after school each week throughout the term and their efforts were showcased with beautiful performances. Selections ranged from classical works to pop rock and traditional folksongs and our musicians treated the audience to a variety of techniques as well. Congratulations to all of our performers on their fine efforts in strings and handbells this term.
