On October 16, students, parents, faculty, staff and the Mustang dedicated their time (and feet!) to help raise funds for a charitable organization through our 20th annual community Fun Run. We believe that by infusing philanthropy into our community activities we can embody our core values and purposefully engage with our strategic priorities, especially our mission to empower our students to make a difference.
Dan Smith, middle school teacher and Fun Run coordinator for nearly 15 years, worked alongside the activities and athletics office, maintenance office, administration, the Middle School Student Leadership Team and many other colleagues to ensure that the run was a success—both for the participants and this year’s charity. Our community raised over ¥50,000 to help raise awareness of global human trafficking through Stop the Traffick.
A big thank you also goes out to our corporate sponsor, Coca-Cola who sponsored the t-shirts and helped keep our participates hydrated during and after the run with a donation of Aquarius.
Start training now so you can join us for next year’s Fun Run! You’ll get in shape, help someone in need and maybe even meet the Mustang. (But don’t forget to stretch!)
