On October 26, our early learning center students headed out to the farm for the yearly sweet potato harvest. The sweet potato digs are an ELC PTA-sponsored tradition that students look forward to every year as the weather cools and leaves start to turn shades of red and yellow, giving them a chance to learn about and experience a seasonal Japanese cultural tradition. Spirit Day: “Our School, Our Team, Our Dream”
Every Fall, ASIJ buzzes in a flurry of homecoming week activities focused on school spirit and community building. The week culminates in Spirit Day, a day dedicated to cheering on the Mustangs sports teams, playing games and eating delicious food.

Inspiring Entrepreneurs at ASIJ’s First Engage Forum
ASIJ hosted its first Engage Forum from April 8-10, which saw young entrepreneurs and students from Taipei American School and Singapore American School join our students for the weekend to work together, learn what it takes to be a young entrepreneur and find the inspiration to achieve personal success. Guest speakers Pamela Mejia, Abhishek Sharma ’10, Riley Ennis and Laura Deming spoke with students about their entrepreneurial experiences both on campus at a co-sponsored evening event with the American Chamber of Commerce in Japan (ACCJ).
