Along with spring comes our Animal Study across all three age groups. The children have begun graphing interesting information about their favorite animals and choosing an animal to study. They are looking at animals and their habitats such as during a trip to the aquarium for pre-K students. The children love this study of animals, and their interest is fanned by our annual visit by the Petting Zoo.
The Petting Zoo takes over the ELC playground! Rabbits, sheep, turtles, guinea pigs, a large snake and a variety of other animals were available for observing, handling and feeding. The children love this special day. There is a natural connection between children and animals, and for many children, this day is one of the highlights of the year! (Judy Beneventi, ELC Director)
