Learning about the natural world in Pre-K

For the past six weeks, Pre-K has been engaged in an Animal Study. The Petting Zoo visit kicked off this unit of study. The children explored the differences and similarities between  mammal, birds, fish, reptile and amphibians. We were also able to take an exciting field trip to the Epson Shinagawa Aqua Stadium aquarium thanks to our generous PTA.

The children observed and investigated various types of fish. Upon returning to the ELC, they put their newly acquired knowledge to use as they creatively made ocean murals, observational fish drawing, watercolor dropper sea creatures and giant stuffed sea creatures.
